On Saturday October 8, 2016 there will be a Health and Fitness Expo from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM located at the Classic Center on Thomas Street in Athens. The race will take place on Sunday, October 9, 2016 starting at 7:30 am. The starting point of the race is in downtown Athens. The race will wind through downtown Athens, beautiful historic neighborhoods, and the University of Georgia campus. The race culminates with a run around "the hedges" in UGA's Sanford Stadium and a dramatic finish just outside the stadium at the Tate Student Center. This race benefits AthFest Educates, a local non-profit organization dedicated to supporting music and arts education in Athens, Georgia.
