GMG Wolverine Run

• 10K:- Run 6.2 Miles

This event is organized by Partners in Education which is the parent organization for GMG Elementary School in Green Mountain, Iowa.  Our organization is trying to raise money for a safer playground covering at the school.  100% of the proceeds are directed to the Playground Resurfacing Fund.  If you can't participate in the event, donations can be sent to Partners in Education, 1710 Wallace Ave., Green Mountain, IA 50632.  The road race is a very challenging yet scenic course.  It contains one large hill and several smaller hills as it winds it way around Union Grove Lake in beautiful Union Grove State Park.  Come and enjoy the challenge and the view!

Event details and schedule

The start/finish line for the event is at the beach parking lot at Union Grove State Park.  Parking will be at this location. Packet pick-up begins at 8:00 and the event will start at 9:00 a.m. on May 7, 2016.  We offer a 5K or 10K open to runners and walkers of all ages.  It is a road race on a newly paved road and contains several hills and one large hill.  Prizes will be given to top male and female finishers in both 5K and 10K.  Medals given to top 3 finishers, both male and female, in 12 and under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and 60+ categories.  Awards are to be picked up in person and will not be mailed.  No pets allowed and headsets are discouraged.  In the event of severe weather, the event will be canceled and not rescheduled.  If the event is cancelled, registration fees will not be refunded and Partners in Education appreciates your donation.  Race results will be posted to our Facebook page.
