The year 2016 marks the debut of the Eastern Illinois Half Marathon | 5k Classic.   The event is expected to be the city's largest inaugural endurance running event.  The event will bring back alumni from all around the U.S. back to Charleston to run 4th street, around the square and an impressive tour of the EIU campus.
