DG 5 Miler- 39th Annual

• 5 Mile:- Run 5 Miles

The Downers Grove Park District presents its 39th annual 5 Mile run through the scenic residential streets of Downers Grove. The rolling, USATF certified five-mile course is a CARA competitive 2016 Runners' Choice Series race. The 5-mile course is 1 loop, splits are given at each mile, water stations are located at 1 1/2, 3 3/4 and the finish line. The first 500 registrants receive a technical racing shirt. The race is a B-tag timed race. All entry fees are non-refundable.

Event details and schedule

The race will begin at 7:30 am on June 26. Race packets for pre-registered runners will be available Friday June 24, 4-7 pm and Saturday June 25, 9 am - Noon at the Recreation Center, 4500 Belmont Road, Downers Grove.

Lincoln Center is 1/2 block east of Main Street on Maple Avenue. Parking is available at the parking deck located in the middle of the block surrounded by Curtiss Street, Maple Avenue, Washington Street and Main Street.

From I-88, exit Highland Avenue south, Highland becomes Main Street, proceed to Prairie go east (left) on Prairie to Washington go south (right)on Washington past the railroad tracks stay to the right after the tracks, go past Curtiss and parking will be on your right hand side.

From I-355, exit Ogden Avenue and go east, Turn right (south) on Belmont Road, proceed to Prairie and go east (Left), take Prairie to Washington go south (right) on Washington past the railroad tracks stay to the right after the tracks, go past Curtiss and parking will be on your right hand side.

From I-294, exit Ogden Avenue West, follow to Main Street and go south (left), proceed to Prairie go east (left) on Prairie to Washington go south (right) on Washington past the railroad tracks stay to the right after the tracks, go past Curtiss and parking will be on your right hand side.

Exit Lemont Road North, Lemont Road becomes Main Street, proceed to Maple Avenue go east on Maple (right) and proceed to Washington go North (left) on Washington and the parking deck will be located a 1/2 block down on your left hand side.
