Course Info
This race is 90% trail with 7% grasslands and 3% rock and asphalt. There are numerous hills, 9 bridges, and marshland. The trail circles Lake Mingo and crosses an earth dam. It is a trail thru deep woods where you may see deer, wild turkeys, geese, wood ducks, river otters, snakes, and giant blue heron. Depending on weather, you may get wet and muddy. There may be a creek crossing if one of bridges washes out. The course is the same as last year. We will start towards the dam in a clockwise direction. 2 Hour Time Limit!!
Kennekuk Cove County Park
The race takes place at Kennekuk Cove County Park. Registration is at the Hideaway House, which is nestled behind some historic buildings. There is playground equipment and a volleyball net at the Hideaway. Camping is available near the Hideaway, Friday and Saturday night only.
Packet pickup will be at the Hideaway House at Kennekuk Cove County Park starting at 7:30 am on raceday. Race to start at 9:00 AM Central time.
Party, Food and Drink
The usual KRR party immediately following race. Food and drink (Beer, sodas, and water) is free to runners and race volunteers, $5 for friends and family. Door prizes will also be awarded.
Shirts
The race shirt is a short sleeve tech shirt.
Awards
There will be awards for Top 4 Male, Top 4 Female, Top Master Male, Top Master Female. There will be age group awards in 5 year increments starting at 14 and under thru 70+. There is also a Heavyweight division for men over 190 lbs.(if in Heavyweight, you are not eligble for Age Group award).
Facilities
Outdoor restrooms available at registration site. A hose will be available to wash off.
No refunds or transfers. Awards and shirts will not be mailed. Because of insurance requirements the following are not allowed at this event: No baby strollers, rollerblades, or dogs on or near race course.
