Description
Kids ages 6-14 years old, get ready to run at the 1st Annual Johnson County Track and Field Meet! The event is Saturday, April 30th at Shawnee Mission Northwest High School (12701 W 67th St, Shawnee, KS 66216). The meet will use a drop-in format so participants are able to compete in most events at any time from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. The list of events includes: 50 meter, 100 meter, 200 meter, 400 meter, 800 meter, 1600 meter, long jump, and turbo throw. Kids may participate in as many events as you chose but just once per event. Only the 800 meter (10:30 a.m.) and the 1600 meter (9:30 a.m.) events will have set times. The Fun Run will be on the half-hours. Participants may be placed in heats with different ages and gender. Winners are determined by best times and distances in their age and gender group. Registration ends April 20th, and participants must pre-register. The first 150 kids will receive a t-shirt.
