A Run Through the Meadows - PK Charity 5K

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

Prepare for a full day of fun with a 5K, cookout, and golf. This is the second annual 5K to be held at Sterling Meadows Golf Course. A Run Through the Meadows is a charitable 5K that travels along the Sterling Meadows Golf Course cart path. The path winds over delicate hills, around a pond, and alongside Little Labette Creek in an extended figure-eight. Oh, and don't forget the dreaded 35 degree hill approximatley 1.7 miles in to the run! This event will provide bagels, bananas, water and other snacks before and after the race. Be sure to stay for lunch, golf, and beer post-race. Following lunch, Sterling Meadows will be offering beer and free greens fees for 18 holes of golf. Please come join us and help donate to a good cause. This year our proceeds will be going to Parsons High School's and Labette County High School's science programs. Each year a new cause will be selected. This is an all-day event for those who would like to stay post-race, look forward to seeing you there!

9:00 am - 9:50 am:  Race Registration and Packet Pick-up

10:00 am: Start Time of the Race

11:00 am - 1:00 pm: Lunch and Beverages

1:00 pm - Dusk: Free Golf (carts not included)

Course information: Race will be ran on cart path of golf course. The course has mostly small hills, one short but steep hill, and is curvy. Volunteers and markers will be guiding you throughout the race as well as a water station at the midway point. 

Arrival: The course is located approximately one mile West of Parsons off of West Main Street (24000 Road) on the south side of the road. There is ample parking in the parking lot available up the drive way.

Please bring signed waiver or sign waiver upon packet pick-up. Pick up registration packets prior to race.

Wear comfortable running clothes and shoes for the 5K. Be sure to bring golf equipment if you plan to golf. Carts will be available for rent. There is no dress code for golf on the day of this event.

Walkers are welcome, pets are not.  There will be ample parking and plenty of area for spectators.

The race will go rain or shine, only lightening or severe weather will cancel the race.  There will be NO REFUNDS.
