WHAS Crusade for Children 5K Run/ Walk for the Kids...

The Bardstown City Schools Department of Special Education and the Bardstown Fire Department would love to see you at our 2^nd Annual “Run for the Kids”, WHAS Crusade for Children 5K. This charity run will be August 27, 2016 in downtown Bardstown, with all proceeds earned donated to the WHAS Crusade for Children.

As you may or may not know, the WHAS Crusade for Children provides grant money to non-profit agencies, schools, and hospitals that serve children with special needs up to age 18. The term “special needs” is defined as physical, mental, emotional, or medical needs. Many children in Nelson County community have benefited from the Crusade’s generosity. In the past, Bardstown City Schools have received grants that funded equipment such as: iPads, touch screen computers, a special needs playground, and Snoezelen (multi-sensory) rooms in two district schools. In the last three school years alone, Bardstown City Schools has received more than $80,000.00 in funds from the WHAS Crusade for Children.   

Come out, be active, and help us raise money for an incredible cause...and some pretty amazing kids! Hope to see you there!

PRIZES WILL BE AWARDED FOR THE TOP FINISHERS IN BOTH THE MALE AND FEMALE CATEGORIES:

First Place: $100

Second Place: $75

Third Place: $50

Event details and schedule

The race will begin at 8:00AM at the Bardstown City Schools Board of Education. Early registration will begin at 6:30AM. EARLY REGISTRATION PAYMENT MUST BE IN THE FORM OF CASH OR CHECK ONLY!

IN ORDER TO BE GUARANTEED A SHIRT FOR THE RACE, YOU MUST REGISTER BY AUGUST 12th!

Early registrants will also receive a commemorative WHAS Crusade for Children 5k keepsake.

Packet pickup will take place at Bardstown Middle School, Friday, August 26th, from 4-7pm.
