The 1st Annual Super Landen's Stache-Dash 5k Walk & Run is being organized by an elite group of avid runners who are friends and family of Pittsfield Police Officer James Losaw whose eight year old son was diagnosed with grade four glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. This race will not only be fun but will benefit Landen and his family in defraying costs associated with this merciless cancer. This event is family friendly and participants can choose to either walk or run a 5k, children are encouraged to participate in the Kids Stache-Dash which will consist of a race through a fun mustache themed obstacle course. Afterwards, participants are encouraged to join the festivities which will include DJ Rob Williams, the Hotshot Hillbillies Band and some post-race snacks!
Participants are encouraged to pick up their race bibs on Friday June 10th from 10a.m.-6p.m. and Saturday June 11th from 10a.m.-5p.m. at Berkshire Running Center located at 42 Summer Street, Pittsfield, MA. Race registration closes on June 5th but participants who did not have a chance to register and still wished to participate can register the day of the race (Sunday June 12th) at the Controy Pavillion located at Onota Lake in Pittsfield, MA from 10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. When you arrive at Onota Lake you will park in the main parking lot and walk over to the Controy Pavillion. Please have in hand: Your I.D. and proper athletic attire to participate in the event given any varying weather conditions.
