KRide/KRun was formed in memory of eleven year old Katelynn Battista of West Springfield, MA who lost her battle with cancer in 1997. Over the past 15 years, the event has successfully raised nearly $2 million in the fight against cancer.
KRide/KRun participants are comprised of all ages and skill levels. The event offers challenging and family friendly cycling routes including 6.2-, 25-, 50- and 100- mile rides all of which begin and end at Hampshire College. A 10K Run is also available.
The afternoon celebration includes a barbeque, live music and activities for the family.
Riders and runners are required to meet a fundraising minimum by event day. The money raised will support the Children’s Cancer Hope Fund at Baystate Medical Center’s Sadowsky Center for Children. Participants are encouraged to register early, as slots are limited.
