DON'T bring: Pets, coolers, glass containers, alcohol or tobacco products.
We will be offering a complimentary bag check to all runners. A tag with your race number will be placed on your bag. Make sure to hold on to your bib to pick up your bag after the race! Bag check opens at 6:00 am and closes promptly at 10:30 am.
NOTE: Please use your complimentary reusable Race Bag to place all your items in when checking a bag.
We STRONGLY RECOMMEND picking up your packet ahead of time to ensure any registration problems are minimized (see packet pick-up locations).
Race Day Packet pick up and registration (if spots are still available) for the 15k, 10k, and 5k will be held in the Ole Town Meeting House, located in the center of the western town (large green building across the bridge). Any offline donations raised can be turned in at the Check-in table at this time as well. Kids Stampede, Kids Stampede Child Care, and Toddler Trot will check in at the Buffalo Lodge (look for signs).
If you would like to purchase this year's UnderArmour race shirt on race day, they will be available at the Run Store by the finish line for $30, while supplies last. We recommend purchasing your shirt during the online registration process.
As a way to reduce congestion at the start (we have a fairly narrow starting area), all 15k, 10k, & 5k participants will be organized in corrals based on your estimated per mile running pace. At the starting line, look for the corral markers with the "minute/mile" numbers on them and stand between your appropriate times (ie- if you run about 8 ½ min. miles, stand between the “8 Min Mile” sign and the “9 Min Mile” sign). Your official time will not start until you cross the starting line so it doesn’t matter where in line you start.
15K & 10K: Because of the challenging nature of these beautiful courses, we regret NO baby joggers, strollers, or pets allowed. Also, for your safety and the runners around you we suggest no iPod's or mp3 players on these courses, due to their technical nature.
5K: Baby joggers, wagons, and strollers are welcome, as long as you start at the back, and are respectful to other participants. No pets please.
Located by check-in, the finish line, and Kidsfest.
Be sure to stay for the Post-race Round-up ceremony. We will recognize the top participants and runners up in each age group and hand out fundraiser prize awards. Finisher-food (including mostly local fresh fruit, yogurt, bagels, Chick-Fil-A chicken biscuits, and more) will be available for race participants, as well as time to relax and cool down after the race with activities for the entire family.
Medals will be awarded to the top male and female runners overall for each race. Medals will also be awarded to the top 3 males and females in the following age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Important Note: We will no longer be offering child-care for Stampede partcipants. All parents need to be prepared to be responsible for their children throughout the entire Trail Festival.
Kidsfest is designed as an all-inclusive post-race party for families who participate in one of the River Valley Run races. Kidsfest will include a number of exciting activities for kids and families such as:
Kidsfest bracelets can be purchased for kids who DON'T participate in our kids races for $10 on race day (after 10:30 am at Kidsfest).
