The CGR Relentless Run 5K and Fun Walk is in honor of Cody, an accomplished athlete and scholar who lost his life too early, at the age of 18, in a fatal car accident in July 2011. Born early with troubling complications and near misses, Cody prevailed through a series of tremendous physical hardships to grow into an exceptionally solid young man and Maryland State Champion hurdler. To him, the world was full of possibilities and opportunities. We feel that this event and Memorial is a fitting tribute to Cody and a venue for others to benefit from a scholarship and participate in wholesome family activities. This CGR Memorial Run/Walk is designed to engage folks of any age or ability by offering a day filled with fun to create lasting memories and give back to the community by way of scholarship benefits to Cecil and Harford County High School Seniors persuing a college career. The event runs through Cody's historic home town of Perryville, MD and along the Susquehanna River.
