The Senior Coalition Color Race is a fun-filled day that benefits the Seniors of Richland County. Funds raised through the Color Race are used to provide services to Seniors that will help them remain living independently for as long as possible. Join us and make a difference to our seniors!
The Color Race will begin at 10am on the bridge in Peterson Park (near the Shopko parking lot. The course will follow the bike path, through the fairgrounds, and back to the bridge. There will be 12 color stations along the way. Each station is sponsored by a local business vying for your vote of "Best Color Station" and a travelling trophy. Wearing a white t-shirt of your own or purchasing one during registration or at the event will help you get the most out of this colorful day! During the race you will be doused with color so you may want to wear (or purchase) sunglasses and/or bandanas to keep color out of your eyes and mouth. You may also want to bring a towel for your car afterward.
Both before and after the race, there will be a "Party in the Park" where local non-profits will be raising money for their organizations by serving food and offering games/entertainment. The "Party in the Park" will run from 8am to 2pm and feature such things as Bouncy Houses, Gymnastics, Travelling Tacos, Root Beer Floats and much more!
