Brevard, 2016 Firecracker 5, 10K and Fun Run

• 10K:- Run 6.2 Miles

The 2015 Firecracker Race/Walk and Fun Run is designed to accompany the all day downtown 4th of July festival.  For several years the festival has been kicked off by our races.  After you finish running, head uptown to enjoy the music, food, dancing, kid fun games, tours, crafts, art and much more in one of the most picturesque little towns in western North Carolina.

The race course starts on the campus of Brevard College, meandors through the beautiful downtown neighborhoods, past river banks and pastures below some of the most gorgeous blue ridge mountain views your eyes have ever seen.  You will want to sign up early and bring the kids for a weekend of family friendly fun!  There are plenty of lodging and camping sites in Brevard and Pisgah Forest and for information on excursions, ziplining, hiking, mountain biking, swimming, tubing, picnicing, cookouts and more, just stop by our local Chamber on Main Street. We'll see you there!

Event details and schedule

The 2015 Firecracker Race/Walk begins at 8am. Same day registration begins at 6am. There is no packet pickup the day before. Shirts may be available day of for $10.  Mail in registrations can be done by downloading a form from our website, www.brevardrotary.org. The race begins at Brevard College Gym and is the finish line too. The Fun Run for children is located safely on the campus of the college.
