ART MOVES Midtown 5K & Minnie's Mile Fun Run presented by Live Oak Bank

ART MOVES Midtown 5K & Minnie's Mile Fun Run starts and finishes at the Cameron Art Museum (CAM). The 5K course travels along the Gary Schell Cross-city Trail, around Halyburton Park and ends at the CAM’s Pyramid Park with runners moving through Forks Historical Site and finishing under the Mel Chin Sculpture “The Structure of Things Given and Held” - truly an inspiring race experience!

The Minnie's Mile Fun Run is great for kids of all ages. Jog strollers and special needs participants are cordially welcome in Minnie's Mile! Post race there are activites for kids and an award ceremony with adult beverages, good food and prize drawings held on the grounds of the CAM, or inside if the weather requires it.

Take this opportunity to see the Cameron Art Museum (CAM) and race on a beautiful race course, or enjoy the Minnie Mile Fun Run with the kids. The Minnie mile honors Minnie Evans, one of the most famous artists in the history of Wilmington.

All proceeds go to the Cameron Art Museum to support the CAM's inclusive programing and ArtReach.

Event details and schedule

Packet Pickup:

Friday June 10th: 4:30 - 6:30 pm at Omega Sports in Hanover Center

Race Day - 6:15 am at the CAM

Race Start:

7:30 am - Saturday June 11th at the Cameron Art Museum 3201 South 17th Street

The race is accessible and open to athletes of all abilities. Jog strollers are welcome. We'll move competitive athletes to the front at the start, of course, for a smooth start and the safety of everyone. 

SHIRTS:

Race shirts will be custom tank tops with the awesome ART MOVES Midtown 5K logo created by local artists just for this event! Shirts are guaranteed if you register by June 1st. We'll order extra but they are not guaranteed after that date.

SHIRT DESIGN:

There will be an incredible Minnie Evans work of art on the shirt fronts! Race information and sponsors will appear on the back. The shirt design will be amazing and you will be envied and looked up to when you wear this shirt - for sure by us and probably by everyone who sees you in it! 

POST RACE:

There will be tours of the CAM, kids activities on the grounds of the CAM, prize drawings and good food and drink.

AWARDS:

3-deep winner and age group awards - 5K only.
