Event

Palmyra is a community just 10 minutes Southeast of Lincoln, Nebraska.  Traditionally, on the second weekend of June, the Palmyra Action League hosts the "Old Settlers Picnic."  This is a family friendly event with games for the kids, a parade, pedal tractor pull, street dance, wine tasting and other activities.  Showers will be available at the high school following the event if you would like to stay for other activities.  All of the race proceeds wil be used for future purchases and renovations of our community playground and park.

Awards

The first male and female to cross the finish line of the 5k will each receive a trophy.  Top three male and female 5k age group winners will receive medals.  Age groups are as follows:

19 and under   20-30   31-40  41-50   51-65   66 and older

All 1 mile finisher will receive a ribbon.

Course

The 5k will begin at Taggart Park in Palmyra and you will run paved roads the entire race.  Runners will have a chance to take in the country air and rolling hills as they run through town and down the Douglas spur.
