Tenth Annual Woodlawn Run for a Cause

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

Over the last nine years, the Woodlawn Run for a Cause has had nearly 2,000 people complete the 3.1 mile course. More importantly, more than $97,000 has been raised for the following charities: Families of Freedom Scholarship Fund, Children's Hospital at Montefiore Medical Center, Compassionate Care Hospice, Part of the Solution, Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Calvary Hospital, Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Bronx Community Health Network, Friends of Van Cortlandt Park, Mercy Center, Peace Outside Campus, Kalie Gill Family Foundation, National Brain Tumor Society, Ty Louis Campbell Foundation and HOPe Charity.

We are happy to announce the ninth annual race will be held on Saturday, September 17 at 10am. The course will be the same as in the past, beginning at the Woodlawn Bus Stop at the corner of Nursery Road to finish at Indian Field.  Proceeds from this year's event will benefit the Boomer Esaiason Foundation and the Ronald McDonald House.

The race begins at 10:00am.

Race day registration and number/t-shirt pick-up with occur at St. Mark's Church: 7 St. Mark's Place, Yonkers, NY. Post-race awards ceremont will take place at Indian Field at 11:45am. Awards will be provided to the top three overall males and females, along with finishers in the following age groups: Under 20, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+.

T-shirts will be given to the first 300 registrants.  In addition, the first 75 registrants will receive a Woodlawn Run for a Cause bottle opener keychain and the first 200 registrants will receive a race headband.
