Course:  Certified single-loop course on mostly unpaved fire roads through central Pennsylvania's scenic Rothrock State Forest.

Ultramarathon Division:  Men's Open, Women's Open, Men's Masters, Women's Masters, Military (Active Military and ROTC). Five-deep Ultramarathon cash purse and custom finisher medals.

Team Division:  Men's Open, Women's Open, Mixed Open, Men's/Women's/Mixed Masters, Military (Active Military, ROTC and JROTC). Team Categories: Supra (2 runners), Tri/Quad (3-4 runners), Standard (5-6), Mega (7-8). All Military teams are Mega (8 runners, including at least one female). Cash prize to overall first men's, women's and mixed team.

Spectator Areas:  Whipple Dam State Park and Tussey Mountain Ski Area (Start/Finish area). Course details and map at www.tusseymountainback.com

Registration Deadlines:  Ultramarathon registration is open through Oct. 14, 2016. Relay registration will close Oct. 7, 2016 or when the first 140 teams have fully registered.

Note: A team is not fully registered until EACH runner registers onto the team AND the team rotation order is provided. Complete entries will be given priority.

Awards:  Ultramarathon: Cash purse to first 5 M/F open and masters ultra finishers; $300 bonus for a new men's or women's course record, $200 bonus for a new men's or women's masters course record. Finisher medals to all.

Relay:  Team plaque and individual medals to top Men's, Women's and Mixed Supra and Tri/Quad teams, and the top team in each division of Standard and Mega categories. $100 bonus for a new men's, women's or mixed team course record. Mountainback technical race shirts to all registered runners.

Ultramarathoners:  Click the "Register Now" button and choose the correct SOLO category (with or without vehicle support). Be sure to provide all requested information.

Relay Team Captains:  Team CAPTAINS should login to (or create) their personal Active.com account BEFORE registering themselves and the team. Then, register and create a team name PRIOR to other team members registering. Select the "Team Captain" Category that applies to the number of team members.  Once the Team Captain creates and registers for the team, they should advise each member to register under the team name. You can use Active.com to communicate with your team.

Relay Team Members:  Each member who is notified that their team has been created can then register for their team by clicking the "Register Now" button. Don't wait: Your team's registration is NOT complete until all runners have registered.  Select the "Team Member" Category that fits your number of team members.  Select the correct team name from the drop down menu on the registration form and complete the individual runner registration information.

Pre-Race Dinner:  A highlight of the event. Buffet all-you-care-to eat dinner with featured guest speakers (TBA). Saturday, Oct. 29, 2016. Details on event website. Seating expanded! You may pay when registering (recommended) or RSVP by 10/24/2016.
