The 6th annual Food for the Sole 5k begins with a tour of the beautiful Wesley Commons campus, winding in and around 4 different neighborhoods. The course then leads to Marshall Rd. and continues along the sidewalk to Woodfields Baptist Church. After crossing through the church parking lot, the last mile challenges participants with a short but steep hill, followed by a breathcatching decline, and immediately followed by an extended climb back to Marshall Rd. The course then returns to the sidewalk on Marshall Rd. all the way back to the main Wesley Commons entrance. Participants will enjoy the downhill straightaway to the finish line!
But Food for the Sole doesn't end at the finish line....
New for 2016-- more food for your soul! This year we are adding more mind-body components to the event. After your race, feed your mind, body, and spirit with an outdoor yoga session, guided meditation, and chair massages. And, of course, we will have a light, healthy breakfast for all our participants at the awards ceremony.
START TIME: 5K - 8:30 a.m.; Breakfast begins at 9am; Awards announcement at approx. 9:30am; Yoga and Guided Meditation will begin immediately following awards announcements
