SCHS Band 5K & 10K Color Run

• 10K Run:- Run 6.2 Miles
• 5K Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Smith County High School Band in a continuing effort to raise funds for uniforms, operating expenses and general band needs is hosting it's first annual Color Run. All proceeds will benefit this organization.

Event details and schedule

Please wear a white shirt as this is a Color Run.

Packet pick up will be on race day from 7 a.m. til 9:00 a.m. Everyone should be at the starting line no later than 9:45 a.m.

A waiver of liabilty must be signed at packet pick up. Please bring your photo i.d.

There is a 1 hour time limit for the 5K and a 2 hour time limit for the 10K. At the 2 hour time mark all closed roads will be reopened to traffic, however all participants will be allowed to finish at your own risk.

Strollers and walkers are welcomed.

Parking will be available at the Smith County High School @ 312 Fite Ave East  Carthage, TN 37030.

 Both races will begin simultaneously with all participants staging in front of the courthouse, along Main ST.
The starting line will be at the intersection of Main St. and 2nd Ave.
5K racers will begin running on Main St. and turn right onto the Cordell Hull Bridge. Then left on US-70N, continuing south to the intersection of SR-25. Racers will then make a U-turn at the marked location and retrace the route, returning to the original start/finish line.

10K racers will follow the same course as the 5K. Upon reaching Old State Hwy 53, runners will turn right then make an immediate left onto the 'Rails to Trails' paved running trail. Continuing for 1.6 miles then making a U-turn, retracing the trail and returning to US-70N. At this point, racers will continue to follow the 5K course to return to the start/finish line
