Run, walk, or jog in the 5th Annual Daily News Press Run to support the Newspapers In Education program. Featuring certified 5K and 10K Galveston Causeway routes, an exciting Kid's 1K, vendor booths, food, drinks, snacks, moonwalks, music, a super hero costume contest, and much more, this race is fun for everyone!

Runners are encouraged to come dressed as your favorite super hero to be judged in a costume contest!

Technical t-shirts for 5K & 10K runners. Fresh cotton t-shirts for 1K runners.

Divisions: Men/Women/Kids

• 10 & under (Kids), 11-14yrs, 15-19yrs, 20-24yrs, 25-29yrs, 30-34yrs, 35-39yrs, 40-44yrs, 45-49yrs, 50-54yrs, 55-59yrs, 60-64yrs, 65-69yrs, 70 & over

Awards:

• 1st place overall male & female (1K, 5K & 10K)
• 1st - 3rd place male & female in each age division (5K & 10K)
• All Kid's 1K participants receive an award

Race Times:

• 7:00 a.m. - Kid's 1K
• 7:30 a.m. - 5K (certified)
• 7:30 a.m. - 10K (certified)

• Professional chip timing
• USATF certified courses
• Courses begin and end at The Daily News building at 8522 Teichman Road in Galveston

Packet Pick-up:

Packet pick-up will be on Thursday, Sept. 8 and Friday, Sept 9 location is TBD

Prices:

• Kid's 1K - $10 until 09/11/15 $15 race day
• 5K - $30 until 6/30/14; $35 until 9/8/14; $40 race day
• 10K - $35 until 6/30/14; $40 until 9/8/14; $45 race day
