Join us for the 10th running of our race series at the historic Grand Caverns Park in Grottoes, VA. The 5K race series offers a "flat and fast" course in & around the park.

This is a CERTIFIED 5K race with a twilight start (6:00 PM / Sept. 30th).

The 1-Mile fun run / wallk stays within the park along the pictureque trails (just watch out for the dinosaurs). One Mile starts at 6:05 PM.

Cannot make it? Then be a PROXY PARTICIPANT!  For just $10, you can register for the 5K and just stay at home! We will select another runner to go the distance for you. After the race, we will send you your BIB and "finishing" time!

All proceeds will go towards the purchase of outdoor fitness stations at the park.

Event details and schedule

Packet pickup will begin at 5:00 PM the day of the race, Sept. 30th. Please park in the first lot on the left (pass the booth). The registration table, race start, etc. will all be up along the upper parking lot (right of the cottage).

The age group winners for the 5K, along with the top 1-Mile finishers, will be announced following the end of the races. We will have our usual abundance of gifts / door prizes to give away to partiicpants following the race.

We will run this race in all safe weather conditions (rain, snow, etc.).
