- The Milwaukee Lakefront Marathon is a USATF Certified Course that starts in front of Grafton High School on Hwy. 60 (about one mile west of I-43). This flat and scenic point-to-point course travels south through rural countryside, quiet northshore neighborhoods and finishes along the shores of Lake Michigan north of the Milwaukee Art Museum at Veterans Park. You can qualify for the Boston Marathon by doing the Lakefront Marathon!
The race is limited to 3500 marathon runners. We reached our limit for the individual marathon last year in June 2015. Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Entries cannot be deferred to a future year. Registration opens on Jan. 1, 2016 at noon CST.
The race starts at 7:30 a.m. The race course will close at 2:00 p.m., or 6.5 hours after the race start. No early starts are allowed. No times will be recorded and no medals will be given after 6.5 hours.
