K4TW 5K Beach Run

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles
• 1M:- Run .6 Mile

We kick off our Kayak for the Warrior activities by hosting a 5K Beach Run and 1K Fun Run/Walk on Saturday, May 28. The event fee for the 5K is $25 includes a t-shirt. The Fun Run/Walk fee is $15. T-shirts for fun walkers/runners will be available for purchase. The Fun Walk/Run will head down the beach towards Indian Beach and return on the same route. Elite runners will start at 9 a.m.; the second contingent of casual runners will start at 9:10; and the walkers and fun runners will begin at 9:15.

The race course for the 5K will begin on the beach and proceed west towards Indian Beach and then loop over the dunes, across Hwy 58 and then over the knolls of Beacon’s Reach and then back across 58 and onto the beach again. Run times will be posted immediately. Runtheeast will be providing chip timing.  The top three finishers in several age and gender groups will receive awards.
