Date & Starting Time: Saturday, July 23, 2016. 1 Mile Fun Run at 7:30 a.m., 5k & 10K at 7:45 a.m.
Location: The beautiful NEW Walker Park: Near the CenturyLink Center in South Bossier adjacent to the parking lot.
Registration: Early Registration is $20 through Friday, July 6th, 2016. $25.00 July 7th – July, 22nd. Race day Registration is $30. You may register at www.sportspectrumusa.com or at Sportspectrum, 6970 Fern Avenue, 71105.
Kids 1 mile Fun Run-Free for Kids 12 & Under** No Shirt for Free Entry. You must sign up for the 5K-10K to receive a shirt.
Course Layout: The 5K and 10K both proceed from the main park area over the pedestrian bridge to the Arthur R. Teague jogging trail, heading NORTH to both turn-around points. It is an out-and-back course with a few gradual hills. It will be the FIRST EVER race held on this new course. Check www.sportspectrumusa.com for map.
Phantom Runner: If you cannot be there but still want to show your support, sign up as a Phantom Runner. Registration fee for “Phantom Runner” is $20
Phantom runners do not receive a shirt.
REGISTER EARLY! No shirts guaranteed to late registrants.
T-shirts & Race Packet Pick-Up: Every pre-registered participant will receive an original ‘NAIFA 5k-10k” t-shirt. Packet pick up will be held at Sportspectrum, Thursday, July 21st from 12 pm- 6:30 pm and Friday, July 22nd from 10 am-5:30 pm. You may also pick up your packet on Race Day at the Race Site at 7:00am.
Awards: 1st OVERALL Male & FEMALE in 5K & 10K will receive a $100 Sportspectrum Gift Certificate.
Additionally, 1st & 2nd Place in each of the age groups will receive an award.
Age Groups: 11-under, 12-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Post Party: After the races stick around for refreshments and food provided by our generous sponsors!
Special Note: Strollers, wagons, baby joggers, and any hand pushed or pulled vehicle will be allowed on the course, but at a walk pace capacity only. Absolutely NO in-line skates, roller skates or runners with baby strollers will be allowed on run course. This rule is an RRCA regulation!
