NAMI at Duke 5K

Join us for NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) at Duke's first annual 5k on Sunday, April 10, at 11AM on the East Campus Loop! With support from Duke Partnership in Service and Cardinal Racing Services, we are hosting a 5k fundraising event to raise money for programming at Duke and mental health awareness nationwide. 

A little about us: NAMI at Duke University was founded by a group of passionate students dedicated to making a real change in mental health culture on campus. We've helped run two mental health awareness weeks, brought speakers to campus, and have even started reaching outside of Duke's campus  to educate high school students about mental health in the Durham community. In less than one year, we've grown from a new student organization to the nation's largest student-run mental health advocacy group. We hope to take great strides in 2016 and beyond to fight the stigma at Duke and in our community, bring innovative and exciting programs to campus, and educate Duke and the world about mental health issues.
