ABOUT THE RACE
Foundations Recovery Network and Medivance Billing Service presents the fourth annual South Florida Heroes in Recovery 6K walk/run at the Huizenga Plaza in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Register with your family and friends to join this run/walk through the streets of Ft. Lauderdale and along the riverfront to break the social stigma with addiction and mental health disorders.
The 2016 Charity Beneficiary
The charity beneficiary for this race is Young People in Recovery. Young People in Recovery (YPR) is a national grassroots advocacy organization focused on creating recovery-ready communities throughout the nation for young people in, or seeking, recovery. YPR aims to improve access to treatment, educational resources, employment opportunities, and secure, quality housing on the local, state, and national levels. By creating a national network of young people in recovery, we empower young people to get involved in their communities by providing them with the tools and support to take charge of their futures.

- Early Registration: $25 (through March 18, 2016)
- Registration: $30 (through April 30, 2016)
- Late Registration: $35 (through June 3, 2016)
- Race Day Registration: $40 (June 4, 2016)
- Individual (Virtual Runner): $25 (through June 3, 2016 till 5pm)
- If you can’t join us in Ft. Lauderdale for the Heroes in Recovery 6K, run or walk six kilometers virtually! Send us your picture of participation and/or watch/gps results of your 6K experience wherever you are and we will send you your finishers medal and commemorative race tech shirt!
*We are unable to provide refunds or transfers to another participate, but can change your registration to a virtual runner (no difference in cost will be refunded for change)

You may only qualify to win in one category and MUST be present to receive your award. No awards will be shipped or left behind to collect.
Overall Male and Female Winners

“Almost Podium” Fourth Place – $100
*If you are 40+ years old and are the fourth overall person to cross the finish line – you will be placed as the Overall “Almost Podium” Fourth Place winner.
Overall Masters Male and Female Winners

Third Place – $50
“Almost Podium” Fourth Place – $25
Other award categories – Age Group Awards Male/Female:
10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80+

Parking Information:
City Park Garage (150 SE 2 ST) down the street on SE 1 AV, the closest to Huizenga Plaza. The meters are $1.25 per hour and can be paid at the meter or use the Pay By Phone App. Pay By Phone’s the best since you can add money to the meter from your phone.
