Find your P.I.N.K. (Power Inside Not Known) as we join together to raise funds for families fighting breast cancer and honor the life of a courageous young inflammatory breast cancer fighter, Talika Dennis-Carter. This 5K run/walk will raise funds to provide much-needed hope to families fighting this awful disease. The proceeds will create funds necessary to pay for educational books to help the children understand Mom’s battle, as well as pay for prepared meal delivery and housekeeping to ease mom’s burden. The remaining funds will be used to provide childcare and transportation assistance to ensure that all women have equal access to care and as an added benefit we provide a unique outreach program for the husband or significant other to help him make sense of his loved ones challenge.
Talika’s journey ended in 2015, but her spirt and her joyful heart will forever live on as one of our favorite moms and volunteers. Read more about Talika’s battle, why she is so amazing, and why we Love her so much…
