Did you know 1 in 45 children today has a diagnosis of autism. It is the fastest growing developmental disability in the country. It is estimated that some 50,000 school-aged children in Ohio live with autism. You can make a difference by participating in Akron's Autism 5k Run & Walk.

Cost to register to Walk or Run the 5k is $35 ($40 race day) and includes a t-shirt and swag socks. The One Mile Fun Walk is a team-based fundraising event and does not have a registration fee , but encourages teams to raise money for t-shirts, swag socksand prizes. Event includes: Entertainment / Resource Fair / Bounce Houses / Music / Food.

5k Run & Walk Begins at 9:00 AM - Course is mostly flat Akron Streets (2 miles) with one mile on the Towpath, also flat area. START at Lock 3, run North on Main Street. U-Turn at Market to head back South on Main Street. Turn Right on Barges Street cutting into the Towpath. Run one mile North on the Towpath and END at Lock 3.

One Mile Fun Walk Begins at 9:15AM - Course starts outside of Lock 3, Walk North to Main Street. U-Turn on Market.Turn Right onto exchange Street. Cut into the Rubber Ducks parking lotand onto the Towpath. END in Lock 3.
