A 5K Run this July in support of Colon Cancer research.
Michael Brown was diagnosed with Colon cancer at the age of 26 years-old. After 4 years in remission he was re-diagnosed in December, 2013 with a very rare type of Colon Cancer. In hopes of creating more awareness and research about rare types of Colon Cancer, the Michael P. Brown Colon Cancer foundation was born. On Saturday, July 23 we will have our third annual 5K Run/1 mile walk in Germantown Hills. Food will be available for purchase from 5 PM-10 PM. The race will begin at 6 PM. Awards will be given to the top men’s and women’s finishers in each age group. There will be a kids’ run starting at 5 PM along with a kids’ zone that includes balloon animals, face painting, and bounce house. The Joe Stamm Band will be playing after the race from 8:00 PM-11:00 PM. T-shirts and a free entry to the band will be given to each participant. Our event will take place rain or shine. Please consider helping us spread the word and joining us. Register at www.run4michael.com/register. You can also find us on Facebook under Michael P. Brown Colon Cancer Foundation.
