Border War 5K Beer Fest Run/Walk

• Border War 5K Beer Fest Run/Walk:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - The Border War 5K Run/Walk is a friendly battle before the Border War Beer Fest to see which state has the best average 5K time for runners and walkers.  Besides individual awards, the times of all the athletes will be averaged to find our winner - between Wisconsin and Illinois - giving the state bragging rights over the coveted "Willy 5K" trophy. This trophy will display the winning state each year and be present at all of the future Border War 5K Beer Fest races, beckoning its adversaries to reverse the winning streak each year.

Participants get a special early entry into the Border War Beer Fest!

All participants will receive a custom finisher's medal.Top three male and female will be recognized as well as the top male and female in respective 5 year age groups.

• 9 and under
• 5 year age categories (starting at 10yrs old on up)

The "Willy 5K" trophy

This traveling trophy will be engraved with the winning state and year, adding every future year's winner thereafter.  The Overall State Time will be determined by combining all finishers from that state and averaging their times. Every Wisconsin and Illinois participant's time is included in creating this Overall Time.

Please make sure you purchase the proper race ticket if you want to participate in the beer festival ("w/Festival Entrance").  All race participants that are designated as Beer Fest participants will be allowed special entry at 2:30 pm. General admission opens at 3:00 pm. You must be 21 and older to be admitted to the Beer Fest.

**Please note that you MUST be 21+ in order to get into the Beer Festival after the race.  Make sure that you have a valid ID available before entering the festival.**
