This is a flat, fast course with a steady 1/2 mile downhill start. Many PRs have been set on this course.

We offer over 190 hand-crafted trophies (featuring an authentic railroad spike!) in 16 different categories/divisions in the Run and the Walk including Overalls, Masters, various Age Groups, Weight (Run) and Dog-Walk (Walk).

Every year, we have 120 - 150 door prizes, valued at $2500. So your odds of winning a trophy or a door prize can be 50/50!

Even if you don't win anything, you don't leave with nothing! All participants get a tech-shirt a goodie bag. Plus we feature a HUIGE smorgasbord of delicious food which includes several types of pizza, pepperoni rolls, subs, deli-fresh sandwiches, homemade cookies, and Jessica's famous pasta salad!

After the 5k, stick around and enjoy the Kids Race. Only 5 bucks, the 1st 100 kids get a bag jammed full of toys, gift certificates, and coupons. ALL kids win a trophy, presented to them by Spike and Buck, the Wheeling (WV) Nailers' hockey team mascots with special appearance by Batman!
