The Endurafest builds on the adult and youth offroad triathlons that Hale has been producing independently since 2004 with the introduction of the trail runs and additional multisport races. Hale Reservation is a private, non-profit educational organization that manages 1,137 acres of woodlands and is most widely recognized for its summer day camp programs which annually serve over 4,400 children from 70 communities in the Greater Boston area. A portion of all registration fees will be donated to Hale.

With a variety of races for both individuals and teams and a line-up of great post-race festivities, the Hale Endurafest offers something for everyone and a great event experience for all.

Course Info

All runs begin and end at Hale’s North Beach. The 1 mile run will take place first and once all runners in that race have crossed the finish line the 5.5 and 10 mile races will begin.

The 1 mile race: will be an “out and back” that will have athletes run along the Noanet Pond dam and then turn left onto the Page & Sadie Trail. They will then cut over to trail intersections 5 and onto ABC Cabin where they will turn right and head back to the Noanet Pond dam and to the finish at North Beach. Click here to see a course map.

The 5.5 mile race: will also begin and end at North Beach. The 5.5 mile race will begin on the Storrow Pond Trail heading east before turning south/right at the North Beach parking lot. Athletes will then run an access road to pick up the Page & Sadie trail and run 3/4 of the way around Noanet Pond in a clockwise direction. At Powisset Lodge, runners will go left towards Powisset Pond and make their way to Grossman Beach. Beyond Grossman Beach athletes will run the Strawberry Hill Trail through trail intersection 8, 7, 6 and at 5they will cut over to ABC Cabin and onto the Storrow Pond Trail. Runners will then pass Storrow Pond and turn right to briefly run on the Split Rock Trail and then go right for a short run along Carby Street before re-entering a trail off the parking lot across from Trading Post. Runners will then turn left onto the Noanet Pond dam and head to the finish on North Beach. Click here to see a course map.

The 10 mile race: will run most of the 5.5 mile course two times.  When athletes in the 10 mile run reach the Noanet Pond dam (@ mile 5.3;  shown at right) they will continue onto the west side of the Page and Sadie Trail heading towards Powisset Lodge where they will re-run the loop that includes the Strawberry Hill Trail and Storrow Pond Trail and onto the finish at North Neach. Click here to see a map of this course.

Trail conditions: The terrain of the 1 mile run is a combination of wooded trail and hard-packed dirt with some loose gravel and exposed roots.  The terrain for the 5.5 and 10 mile runs is similar to the 1 mile run but also includes short passes on Grossman beach, wooder bridges, a cement dam at Storrow Pond and part of Carby Street.
