Stop, Drop, and Run 5K

• Stop, Drop, and Run 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

 - You're taught from a young age to stop, drop and roll if your clothes catch fire. Well, it's time to use that practice for fun! The Stop, Drop and Run 5K Run/Walk is just the way to do it! You can also run with a firefighter! Yes, you heard right! Firefighters from Porter Fire Department will be running in their gear to challenge themselves and you! So come on out and have some fun! We're adding a Kids Fun Run to the festivities, bring the little ones out for a good time!

The Porter Firefighters are raising funds to purchase replacement dive parts and desperately needed hand tools.

Raceday Times
- 7:00am - Raceday registration opens
- 7:30am - Junior Firefighter Fun Run (Kids Run, 9 and under)
- 8:00am - Stop Drop and Run 5K Run/Walk
Entry Fees:
-Early registration $20.00 includes a tee shirt (by Monday May 16, 2016) Increases to $25.00 until race day.
-Race Day Registration $30.00 includes a tee shirt while supplies last.
-Packet pick up and Race Day Registration begins at 7 a.m. on race day
-Strollers are welcome, NO PETS ALLOWED.
Awards:
Unique awards given to top 3 overall runners. Medals for top 3 finishers by gender and age bracket.
Age Groups: 
10-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50+
Course Description: 
Street and bike trail running, starting and finishing in same location, Hawthorne Park.
Race Timing: 
The race will be chip timed and results posted at www.thtiming.com.
Amenities:
-2 water stations through course.
-Packet pick up, race day registration, after the race refreshments and snacks.
-Restrooms will be in the Community Building at Hawthorne Park and at Porter Fire Department on route.
Parking:
Limited spots in Hawthorne Park. Additional parking in grass at Waverly Rd. and Franklin St. Parking attendants will be on site.
