Pride Run 2016

Pride Run 2016 marks the 35th running of the Los Angeles Frontrunners Pride Run. Come join us in celebrating 35 years of running, fitness, friendship, and family. Our race is 100% volunteer organized. Each year LAFR makes a substantial contribution to local charities with the proceeds of the Pride Run.

NEW Location & Date

For 2016, the Los Angeles Frontrunners Pride Run returns to Griffith Park. The race was held in Griffith Park from 1985-1995 and after 20 great years in West Hollywood, we are returning the race to the park. In an effort to expand Pride Week to greater Los Angeles, the Pride Run will be the kick off event to Pride Week throughout the city. As the kick off to Pride Week, Pride Run 2016 will be held on Sunday, June 5. For all of you returnees, this is the Sunday BEFORE the parade.

Race Info & NEW RACES: 25K Trail and Flaming Pride

Pride Run 2016 features our traditional 5K and 10K Race, and our Kids Race. Back this year is the Ultra Pride Run, where runners run both the 5K and 10K where the lowest cumulative time is the winner. NEW for 2016 is a hilly 25K Trail Race as well as the Flaming Pride Run, where runners run both the 5K and 25K. The 5K Run will start at 7:30 a.m. and the 10K & 25K begin at 8:45 a.m., following the Kids Race around 8:30 a.m.

Course Info

Course Info

The start/finish area for Pride Run 2016 is the Crystal Springs Picnic Area in Griffith Park. The 5K is one loop around the golf course, the 10K is two loops around the golf course. The 25K is a challenging trail run in the hills of Griffith Park. We will post detailed course/elevation for the 25K shortly.

25K Additional Info & Cut-off

The 25K course will be very similar to the course we used for the Run Deo Run Trail Races. It is hilly and challenging. There will be aid stops but you must carry water. We have had mild weather the last few years for the Pride Run but it is June so it could be warm. There will be a 3:45 finish time cut-off for the 25K.
