HELP BENEFIT THE KENTRIDGE CROSS COUNTRY TEAM!
Thank you for your interest in the Fairwood 50th Fun Run. We are pleased to be benefiting the Kentridge Cross Country team, who will be voluntering in the event. They are looking forward to a great fall 2016 season, which you can help make better. If you wish to make an additional donation, you may do so from the donation link, during the run registration, or day-of-event. There will be a free Fairwood 50th t-shirt for the first few hundred finishers (sizes not garunteed). Day-of-event registration will only be available for a limited time before the run, so get registered today and avoid any lines or missing out. There will be various prizes/give-aways at this event as well. This run should be a great way to start out the day and 50th celebration, and a benefit a great group of kids. We look forward to seeing you out at the park!
ABOUT THE 5K COURSE
This 5K loop course, covering mostly residential streets with sidewalks, also includes an adventureous, undulating section of King County forest trail. There are moderate hills, a few steps & some accute curves on the trail section. It starts and ends on the grass in the middle of Petroviski Park. There will be mile-markers and other clear course markings, as well as course monitors to guide you. This should be a really fun course for all ages.
(Please use caution and discretion, on the trail portion of this course, especially if you have young children or any medical conditions/injuries that would not allow you to safely travers the forest trail: go up stairs, step over roots or rocks, or go up/down moderately steep hills; thank you!)
