- Since 1956, the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department has proudly served the Crofton, Gambrills and surrounding areas providing life saving emergency services. Since our humble beginnings responding to calls with a single engine, the dedicated members of the Arundel Volunteer Fire Department have been a critical part of the community.
On average, our station responds to over 125 fire and rescue emergencies and over 200 medical emergencies every month. With limited financial support from the county, we rely on the generosity of those we serve to maintain our equipment and keep our station running.
Our annual Rescue Run fundraiser is a key part of our efforts to keep the station funded. 2016 is an important year for Station 7 as we welcome a new addition to our company. Engine 71 was constructed in Wisconsin and delivered in April. This Pierce type apparatus has replaced the old engine and will allow us to better protect the community. We are excited about the new engine, but now have an over $500,000 loan to repay.
We hope to see you this year!
