Description
This is a premier 5k race that will be held on the Rt 279 HOV lanes going “downhill†for almost the entire distance whose purpose will be to crown the fastest 5k athletes for both sexes and select age groups in the City of Pittsburgh. There will be two divisions for this race: 1) Qualifying Crown Racers are those that have placed in the top three in their age group in a qualifying race throughout 2016. These racers must submit proof of their place and time to be placed in the qualifying corrals. 2) Field racers will be those that wish to run the race for their own PR but have not qualified for the crown division through another race in 2016. The age groups are expected to run every five years from 20-70+, but this will be determined by the field closer to the race date.
