- Operation Eyesight is pleased to announce its 3rd Annual Strides 4 Sight 5K Walk/Run and Kids Fun Run. This signature fundraising event will be held on Saturday, October 8th, 2016, at Como Park around Saint Paul’s own Como Lake. Packet Pick Up is at 8:00am, the Kids Fun Run will start at 8:30am and the Strides 4 Sight 5K Walk/Run will begin at 9:00am.
Operation Eyesight is a charity outreach program under which the surgeons of Minnesota Eye Consultants provide a variety of eye care surgeries free of charge, to those who may not otherwise be able to afford the care they need. These patients range from cataract patients to very complex corneal procedures, to glaucoma and oculoplastic procedures. All items are covered, including the facility fee, anesthesia and the physician’s time and expertise.
100% of the proceeds from the Strides 4 Sight 5K Walk/Run will directly benefit the members of our community who cannot otherwise afford surgical and medical care so desperately needed.

Como Lake can most easily be approached on Lexington Ave about half way between I94 and Hwy 36, which both have Lexington Ave exits. Guests can also park in Bandana Square, a few blocks away.
From Minneapolis: go East on either I94 or North on 35E to Hwy 36 East.
From St. Paul: go West on I94 or North on 35E to Hwy 36 West.
From I94: Drive North on Lexington Ave; from Hwy 36 drive south on Lexington Ave.
