The Iron Tribe FunRun for YoungLife happens on July 9th, 2016 at Ida Bell Young Park. The FunRun is a partnership to raise funds for YoungLife an organization that introduces adolescents to the teachings of the Bible in a manner which relates to the adolescents. Iron Tribe is a community focused fitness facility that uses a fun and simple system of body movements, nutrition, and personal training to make people healthier and fit.
The FunRun will consist of running laps around Ida Bell Young Park while performing body movements at certain points on the park track. The division will dictate the amount of movements and the length of the FunRun. The Iron division will be four laps which is approximately two miles followed by the Tribe division which is a mile and a half and the Fitness division which is just one mile. This is a family event so kids will be allowed to participate. Registration starts June 16 and will cost $25 for adults and $10 for kids.
Registration is at 8 a.m. if you wait until the day of the event. Between 8-9 a.m. stop by the Iron Tribe table to learn your race time for your division. The FunRun will begin at 9 a.m. with opening remarks. The first race will begin approximately five minutes after the opening remarks. Be sure to wear workout clothes and some form of sneakers.
