The Grimes Farm Run...A Walk in the Park is just that. The park is a conservation learning center so the paths are mostly cushioned with lush grass. There is a short section of asphalt bike trail and, should you choose the Rustic Ramble, you'll be following a rugged, leafy deer path along Linn Creek. Everyone will go up Heartbreak Hill to crest at Mildred's Tower--one of the highest points in Marshall County! Trails swill meander along Linn Creek, through a wetland and end going through through a tall-grass prairie in full bloom.
Registration is inside the Conservation Center to pick up your packet or register on site. We start registration at 7:30 am. Those adventurous souls who care to go to the top of Mildred's Tower will be rewarded with a special prize (in addition to the views!) check out the new Nature Playscape popping up in the prairie this summer. It is good clean fun! Proceeds will go towards the Leonard L. Grimes Memorial Ampitheater just west and north of the conservation Center.
