Welcome to the 3rd annual Freedom Dream 1 mile and 5K run/walk to benefit the Outdoor Dream Foundation.  This year's event will begin at 7:30 AM in the parking lot of Grady's Great Outdoors located at the corner of North Main Street and the East/West Connector Parkway in Anderson, SC 29621.  We do not give first, second nor third place trophies, because all our proceeds from the event will go to the Outdoor Dream Foundation.  Please visit outdoordream.org to see all that we do to assist young folks who have been diagnosed with life threatening illnesses.  Each participate will receive an event tee shirt.  In order to ensure that you will receive a tee shirt, we MUST have your application NO LATER THAN JUNE 22, 2016.  After the event,  we will have drawings for some wonderful "door" prizes furnished by businesses in the Anderson area.  Please come out and help us with this wonderful cause and at the same time enjoy some good/fun fellowship and exercise. Be sure to dress with very cool clothing as the weather will be warm.  Be sure to hydrate before running or walking in our event.  We will have water stops along the way and at the conclusion of the event.  Plan to arrive AT LEAST 30 minutes prior to the event to ensure receipt of your event package.  We/the Outdoor Dream Foundation will have EMS on hand for the event, but we are not liable for any injuries or losses.  Parking will be available BOTH behind Grady's Great Outdoors and across the street in the Tucker's parking lot.  We will run/walk along the East/West Connector Parkway for both the 1 mile and 5K event. This is a family event, so bring your children and enjoy the morning. By starting the event at 7:30 AM, you will be able to return to your family and enjoy your July 4 cookout.  Thank you for your support and participation in our event.

Event details and schedule

Rain or shine, the event will start at 7:30 AM on Monday morning, July 4, 2016.  The event will start and end at Grady's Great Outdoors on the corner of Clemson Boulevard (North Main Street) and the East/West Connector in Anderson, SC 29621.  Arrive no later than 30 minutes prior to the event.  Dress for very warm conditions------lightweight clothing. We/Outdoor Dream Foundation is not responsible for injury nor loses.  Be sure to have your ID on your person while running/walking in the event.
