The Dam Color Run...

• 5K:- Run 3.1 Miles

The Dam Color Run is a fundraising 5K fun run/walk, that will be held on Foss Lake’s 3 mile long dam during the Christmas in July Festival. This event will allow you, for the first time, to run/walk across the dam (which is normally prohibited). As you make your way down The Dam, you will go through 8 color stations, so you are sure to be covered by the end! There will also be shaded water stations. For those who choose to get their beauty rest instead of running and would still like to donate money, there is a fun feature called the Snooze Button registration. With the Snooze Button will receive the official t-shirt and swag bag. The proceeds from this event will be going to be two great organizations; Project Snip 'n Stitch, which is a low cost spay and neuter clinic that is hosted in Clinton multiple times throughout the year and The Foss Lake Association, who coordinates the Christmas in July Festival each year, honoring our Veterans and Military. The race is open to all ages! 4 and under is free they do not need a registration; they will however need a waiver signed the morning of the race by a parent or legal guardian. Please keep in mind that this is 3.1 miles long with powdered color being thrown, so the really young ones might have some difficulties with it and strollers are not allowed in the race. We are SO excited for everyone to come get some “DAM” color!

Event details and schedule

The race starts promptly at 7:00 am Saturday July 9^th!

Packet Pick-Up

You must bring your ID to pick up your packet and sign the waiver; this will be located at the south end of The Dam at the Foss State Park Office starting Saturday at 6:15 am. You may also a pick up your packet at the Foss Lake Christmas in July event on Friday the 8th between 5:30pm - 8:30pm.

*All minors must have the waiver signed by a parent/legal guardian. 

Transportation

There will be a bus that will shuttle all the participants from the south end of The Dam to the start line located at the north end of The Dam.

**THE BUS WILL NOT SHUTTLE ANY PARTICIPANTS AFTER 6:50 AM, NOR WILL ANY PARTICIPANTS BE ALLOWED TO START LATER THAN 7:00 AM.** 

Parking

You may park in the designated area north of the Hwy 44 & Hwy 77 junction, on the west side of Hwy 44.

Not Allowed 

Pets, Strollers, Bikes, Roller Blades or any type of motorized vehicle
