The summer is winding down…Schools back, and North Georgia is getting back into the routine.
Take a break, and head to Dawsonville City Hall (the unofficial moonshine capital) and race, run, or walk a 5K/10K on the roads the treasury dept used to haul the bootleggers away. Great race shirts and custom medals to the overall M/F, overall master's M/F, and the top 3 in each of the normal 5 year age groups (10 & under - 75+).

Proceeds from the event go directly to the Dawsonville Kiwanis Club to help in their mission of supporting childrens charities.
Course & Timing
Both the 10K & 5K are out & backs and are fairly fast with gentle rolling hills. We'll be chip timing the start & finish, so you're guaranteed to have an accurate time, whether you're in the front of the pack, or the back.
Aid stations
There'll be plenty of water on the course. One at the 5K turnaround (passed twice by the 10K), and one at the 10K turnaround; and if it's warmer than expected, we'll bump that number up.

Awards & Goodies
All participants registered by 8/7 are guaranteed a race shirt. Women's cuts are also available! Awards in both races to the Overall Male & Female, Overall Masters (40+) as well as the top 3 in each age group (10 & under - 75+ BOTH races)
Championship & Turkey Trot
All participants will automatically qualify for FREE entry into the Five Star Thanksgiving Day Turkey Trot. Top finishers will also have the opportunity to earn a spot in the championships to be held on Dec 11, 2016. The number of spots available is based on the total registration...see event website for details.
Event Courtesy Policy
Our events are designed to be fun and for the entire family. With that in mind any competitor, spectator, parent, volunteer, or sponsor, exhibiting unsportsmanlike conduct or interfering with the positive, competitive atmosphere of the event will be asked to leave the venue and course immediately with no refunds.
