Kennekuk Road Runners 26th Annual Event.  8 Hour Ultra marathon in memory of Scott Hathaway and in honor of Ultramarathon Legend Rob Apple.   

Registration will close when field is full.  Probably within hours.

A list of participants will be posted on our facebook page within two weeks of the event.

There will be NO exceptions, refunds or transfers of division.

Friday, 8/12/16, we will have a one-loop "Baby Howl at the Moon" meet the course for participants and their family & friends at 6: PM.  Cool Baby Howl Awards and FREE PASTA DINNER from 5PM to 5:45PM

PACKET PICK UP FRIDAY FROM 6:30AM TO 7:15PM.  Come early to claim your spot along the start finish area.  Limited Pickup SATURDAY FROM 6:15 TO 6:55 AM AT THE PARK.

Event details and schedule

Race starts at 7:30 AM. at the Big Red Barn.  Course is a 3.29 mile loop that is 75% trail, 20% fine rock and 5% asphalt.  One long gradual downhill and one steep short uphill.  Halfway Aid station with Jimmy Buffett theme with margaritas on the last loop. Plus additional aid at the top of the hill and start/finish. Loops are counted by personal scorers for each age division.  You must check in with scorer each loop.  YOUR SCORER IS ALWAYS RIGHT.  In last 1/2 hour, runners and walkers can do a 1/4 ile out and back course for the final 30 minutes. 

Walkers must walk.  No racewalking.

Awards:  Top 3 walkers overall. Run:  Top 5 overall male & female.  Plus additional awards for most miles in walkers (15 awards), Open Male and female (0-39-30 awards), Master male and female (40-49-30 awards), Grandmaster Male & female (50-59-30 awards), Superior Males (60+ 25 awards) and Superior Female (60+ 15 awards). 

The park allows camping only for the Howl and only on Thursday, Friday & Saturday.  Or you can stay in the barn or train car.  The best set up spots will be taken early Friday. 

After the race: Awards, beer, pop, and chicken, sides, and mac&cheese from Lee's for all participants.
