The 7th Annual Carrie on 5k and Brooklynn's Brigade Kiddie Run is being held to celebrate the life of Carrie Lorman who lost her life in a tragic car accident in December 2009.  The race is a memorial to Carrie and all proceeds will once again remain in the community.  This year the race will fund scholarships for two Rogers High School Seniors, will help CROSS with food and clothing needs of local residents/neighbors, will assist families in crisis and/or need through the Rogers Lions and will be used to purchase life-saving equipment for the Rogers Police and Fire Departments.

Event Day Schedule

7:30 a.m.  

Packet pick-up and Same Day Registration opens in the church lobby.  The cost for Same Day Registration is $35 (Cash or checks only), and you will not be guaranteed a race shirt.  SO REGISTER EARLY ONLINE!!

8:30 a.m. 

The Carrie on 5k will commence in the church parking lot on a certified 5k course (courtesy of USA Track & Field) through quiet residential streets in Rogers.  Runners, walkers, strollers and pets are welcome.  We would kindly ask that no bicycles or scooters be brought on the course for the safety of all participants.  Thank you.

9:45 a.m.

Brooklynn's Brigade Kiddie Run will start at approximately 9:45 a.m. and will consist of a short course around the church grounds for children 5 and younger.  Childen 6-10 will run a longer course after the younger children are done.  (Registration for one of the Kiddie Runs does guarantee the child a race t-shirt).  We would ask that any child participting in the 5k race register and pay for the full race.

Awards Ceremony     

The Awards Ceremony will be held in the church parking lot as soon as results are tabulated.  We are converting to a chipped-timed race event this year to help us expedite this process.  We will hold the 5k Race Awards Ceremony before the Kiddie Race if at all possible.

Parking

There is limited parking in the church parking lot, so we suggest parking in the Rogers Community Center parking lot across Main Street once the church lot is full.  

Fees and Deadlines

$30 registration fee for the 5k

$15 registation fee for the Kiddie Run

Register on or before July 30, 2016 to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. 

Same Day registration will be $35 and there will be no t-shirt availability guarantee.  We have had extras on hand in the past, but not everyone has gotten one of these.

Additional Information

We have a live DJ scheduled for our entire morning event.

The 5k Race and Kiddie Runs will occur RAIN or SHINE!! 

Rogers Police and Police Reserves will be on hand to ensure the safety of all participants.

We will have access to the church building in case of inclement weather.
