The 5K course is certified and chip-timed. The run will begin near the Owatonna High School (OHS) Track, proceeds through residential neighborhoods on the east side of Owatonna and returns to the OHS for flat and fast finish.

About the race: The race will be held in Owatonna, Minn., “Home of Minnesota’s largest County Fair.” Proceeds from this event will be used to provide scholarship opportunities for Owatonna High School seniors through the STRIVE program sponsored by the Owatonna Rotary. Following the race, we invite you to visit and enjoy the activities at the Steele County Free Fair. Participants in the 4mile race will receive a dry-fit t-shirt for participating. Medals are awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in each age division.  Note: race numbers are non-transferrable and fees are non-refundable.

The course: The course is certified and will start near the high school track, proceed through residential areas on the east side of Owatonna and finish back at the high school. The course is flat and fast. Runners will be “chip-timed”. Kid’s 400M / 800M Runs will be held on the stadium track (7 yrs. and under: 400M | 8 to 12 yrs. old: 800 M). Kids that participate will each receive a ribbon.

Directions to Owatonna High School, 333 East School Street: Take the Bridge Street exit, off of I-35. Head east to Grove Street (Bridge Street turns into Main Street at Oak Avenue). Turn right on Grove Street. Proceed to the south parking lot of the high school near the tennis courts. Race Day registration and pick-up of participant race numbers will take place in the south parking lot, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
