Utah County Crossroads Half...

• Half Marathon:- Run 13.1 Miles

The inaugural Utah County Crossroads Half on August 20, 2016, is unique in that it allows you, the runner, to choose between distinct courses! You are the runner, you choose! All the racers begin together and end together, but, at about a half mile, there is a crossroads where the racers will go along their selected course. The courses follow beautiful scenery in Utah County from Cedar Hills to Orem. There are specific rewards for the different courses along with finisher medals for everyone.

General Information:

All runners will start in Cedar Hills, Utah, and after about a half mile, there will be a crossroad, or a fork in the road. Runners will then follow the path of their choice. After about 9 miles, the paths converge back into one and end in Orem, Utah.

Event Schedule:

Race to begin promptly at 7:30 a.m. 

Rewards to be awarded at 10:30 a.m.

Courses:

One of the most exciting features of this half marathon is that it allows the runner to decide which path to take. Both paths begin at Mesquite Park in Cedar Hills and end at Palisade Park in Orem. Both are half marathon distance, but they go different directions! There is some overlay between the two, but no course is the same. One is entirely on asphalt, the other has a mix of trail and asphalt. For more on the actual course layout, check out the course maps.They are awesome!

Awards:

All runners will receive a sweet looking tech shirt with their specific course highlighted. There will also be a swag bag with goodies and discounts from the local businesses. Runners will also receive a groovy finisher medal. Top 3 male/female finishers in each of the distinct courses and top 3 male/female finishers in the distinct courses in their age groups will be rewarded. There are sweet rewards all around!

Prices:

Jan. 1, 2016 – May 31, 2016: $45

June 1, 2016 – June 30, 2016: $50

July 1, 2016 – August 7, 2016: $55

August 8, 2016 – August 19, 2016: $60

Day of (August 20, 2016): $65

Note: After August 7, we cannot guarantee a T-shirt on race day, but will have one ordered if we run out.

Aid Stations

TBD. There will be aid stations along both courses.

Packet Pickup:

Friday August 19th, 2016, 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at location TBD.

Saturday August 20, 5 a.m. – 7 a.m. at Mesquite Park, Cedar Hills, Utah.

Parking:

There will be plenty of parking at Palisade Park in Orem, Utah. There will be buses available to transport racers from the finish line to the start line before the race if needed.
