Why is this race so important? Because without prevention, the numbers below will continue to go up. Run, walk and give to bring the numbers down.

• An American dies by suicide every 12.95minutes

• Americans attempts suicide an estimated 1 MILLIONtimes annually

• 90%of those who die by suicide had a diagnosable psychiatric disorder at the time of their death

• Over 40,000 die by suicide every year; Suicide is the 10^th leading cause of death in the United States.

• 2^nd leading cause of death for ages 10-24

• 5^th leading cause of death for ages 45-59
