Dentzel Carousel 5K Run/Walk...

This is a fundraiser for the upkeep and preservation of the Dentzel Carousel and it's building. This carousel is only 1 of 2 remaining. It is all hand carved animals and is very unique. The festival is a first of it's kind in Logansport and offers something for all ages and interests, including riding on the carousel. So after the race, stick around and enjoy the day. Bring your family and friends on a great outing for all and preserve some great Cass County and Indiana history.

Event details and schedule

The race starts and finishes on the north side of the Dentzel Carousel and is a very scenic course.

The course will be challenging starting with smooth pavement, then gravel and hills to uneven pavement and more hills to finish on smooth pavement. The course will be narrow and winding at times.

We ask that you park at the Logansport Memorial Hospital parking garage roof (1101 Michigan Ave. and use the Fulton St. entrance. We will be offering shuttle service from 6:30 until 30 minutes after the awards.

Come early and warm up with Zumba. We will be offering a free Zumba dance class to all runners as a warm up for 30 minutes prior to the start of the race at the starting line.

Since this is only a 5K and layout of the course, we will not be offering water on the course. You are permitted to carry water with you during the race if you wish.
